Vistage Events & Executive Summit - Leadership Training

Spring Forward Triad Meeting

Written by Vistage Florida | Mar 28, 2024 3:12:39 PM

You are cordially invited to attend this unique Vistage Florida event hosted by Chief Executive groups in Miami, Boca Raton/Fort Lauderdale, and Palm Beach. The meeting will feature two excellent Vistage resource speakers, networking among South Florida Vistage members, and an opportunity for Vistage candidates to experience some of the benefits of membership.

Our first speaker will be Greg Bustin, an award-winning speaker, author, and executive coach. A 10-year worldwide study of more than 10,000 CEOs and key executives conducted by Greg revealed that "lack of accountability" is the single greatest barrier to achieving consistently high levels of organizational performance. In his presentation, Greg will share his fresh approach to conflict resolution, a new way to think about accountability, and more than 35 best practices to improve execution.

The afternoon speaker will be Adrian Cronje, Ph.D., CFA, CEO of Balentine LLC, and a longtime Vistage member. Adrian is a Cambridge-educated economist, and he will provide tools that we can use to monitor the messages that capital markets send about the future economic environment. We will learn how to distinguish the news that truly has meaning from the more common noisy headlines. Adrian's presentation highlights how capital markets lead the economy, not the other way around.

Greg Bustin is a Vistage Chair with three groups in Dallas. He has made more than 200 presentations to Vistage and TEC groups throughout the U.S., Australia, Canada, England, New Zealand and Wales. Before founding his own firm, Greg turned around the Dallas office of Edelman Worldwide and then led the office to unprecedented levels of success. Greg has worked with leaders at many of the world’s most respected companies, and is the author of four books, including Lead The Way, which examines effective planning and execution, and Accountability: The Key to Driving a High-Performance Culture (now in its second printing through McGraw-Hill).

Adrian Cronje

Adrian Cronje, Ph.D., CFA is chief executive officer and chief investment officer of the Atlanta-based financial management firm Balentine, which offers comprehensive wealth management services for business owners and global asset allocation strategies for institutions. In addition to serving as trustee and chair of the investment committee at Agnes Scott College, Adrian is a charter member of TiE Atlanta, an organization dedicated to fostering entrepreneurship; in 2018, he was recognized as a TiE “Top Entrepreneur.” A Cambridge-educated economist and a  long-time member of Vistage 151, Adrian has lent his insight to Vistage members and audiences across the country. His favorite advice to share with CEOs during these sessions is that the secret to predicting the future is to become a student of capital markets, and that managing your business is different from managing your wealth.

Adrian holds a Ph.D. in Macroeconomics and Econometrics and a master’s degree in Economics and Finance from the University of Cambridge, United Kingdom. He earned his bachelor’s degree in Economics, with honors, from the University of Cape Town, South Africa. Adrian is a CFA charterholder and an active member of the CFA Institute. A frequently requested speaker, Adrian has published several papers and addressed audiences around the country on topics relating to investments and the investment industry. He also enjoys teaching and is a recurrent guest lecturer at several prominent local universities.

He is the Founding President of the not-for-profit A+ Squash, serves on the Investment Committee of the Agnes Scott College Board of Trustees, and volunteers as a member of the Endowment Committee of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Metro Atlanta.  He has been a member of Vistage 151 since 2010. In 2010, Adrian was awarded The Atlanta Business Chronicle’s Top 40 Under 40 Award, an honor designating the region’s up and coming business and community leaders.
